Vote Harris

Golf Harris' track The Happiest Man on Holloway was played on London’s XFM breakfast radio programme as part of their ‘song for London’ bit.DJ Alex Zane say's it sounds 'a bit like the Ramones'. The subsequent competition in which listeners vote for their favourite track saw Golf Harris storm to 4th place out of 20 entrants.

Golf Harris Return! Paul B, Aran and bass player Whiz are currently rehearsing in East London ahead of some new recordings and possibly some gigs. John is stuck up in Blackpool trying to sort out and finish the tracks for a new/old album of songs, and original member Riccardo Terranova, over in Des Moines, Iowa, USA is re-recording some Misanthropy For Beginners tracks for a future '10th Anniversary' release. Exciting.

Golf Harris Records New Demo In Real Studio. Yes the Harris have finally turned their backs on Lo-Fi recordings, splashed some cash and gone into a proper recording studio. The Premises studio to be precise on the 23rd of May 2004, to record 'Details Matter' an EP expected out around July containing songs from the live repertoire inc. The Fundraiser, Biggest Fan, Underneath The Limegroves and For You. A big thank you to engineer Nigel Tilbury who flew in especially from Copenhagen. The whole session was nearly ruined (in true 'Harris fashion), due to a complete power cut, caused, not by terrorists, as GH doc. maker Pat suggested (or by music fans as Paul quipped), but by local engineering works. Luckily Nigel, being the pro that he is, remembered to back up all the recordings.

A big 'cheers' to everyone who came to our last couple of gigs - Rob (thanks for the intro), Maria, Vicky, Poppy and Stevie. Masses of cheers to Ian for the sound engineering at Ryans. Lucinda and Clair at the Spread Eagle and Jim Doc for DJ'ing and all the bar staff, cheers for the beers. Thanks to Pat for filming everything, and to Jason for coming down despite being the Busiest Man In The World. Congratulations to those who 'won' the signed albums and apologies for the sound problems, unless your a big fan of feedback, in which case you probably loved it.
